You can bind any custom shortcut you want! While the default is Ctrl + Space (or Cmd + Space on macOS), Petedoro has a built-in shortcut recorder in Settings. Rebind it to any key combination to instantly summon or hide the widget with zero lag.

Can I play Lo-Fi music in the background while another video plays in the widget?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Audio and video controls are completely independent. You can listen to Lo-Fi Girl beats in the background while watching Subway Surfers or a cozy anime loop inside the widget. You can also turn off background audio or disable video entirely for a clean, distraction-free glass timer.

Can I turn off the visuals, pets, or audio?

Yes! You can turn off the background visuals, hide the pet companion, or mute the audio individually—or turn off all of them for a pure, ultra-minimalist countdown timer. Everything is fully customizable in Settings.

Can I move and position the widget anywhere on my screen?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. The widget is fully draggable and moveable across your entire desktop or multi-monitor setup. Simply drag it by the top bar to any corner or edge. You can also toggle 'Always on Top' so it stays neatly pinned above your code editor, PDF, or browser.

How much RAM and CPU does it use?

Almost nothing. Unlike heavy Electron apps that eat 500MB+ of memory, Petedoro is built with Tauri v2 and Rust. It consumes only ~30–50MB of RAM and virtually 0% CPU, so your laptop stays cool, fast, and battery-friendly while you study.

Does it track my study analytics and habits?

Yes! Petedoro features a 52-week GitHub-style green contribution heatmap and a Monday–Sunday weekly study breakdown chart. You can track your daily focus duration, hit study goals, view peak study days, and monitor monthly consistency at a glance.

What pixel companions are included?

Accepted Answer

Petedoro includes 15+ animated pixel companions like Blushing Kitty, Dracula Cat, Box Kitty, Zen Frog, Golden Retriever, and more. They sit on top of your widget, react to your pomodoro sessions, and purr or share motivational quotes when clicked. You can also import custom GIFs or images.

Does Petedoro store my study data on external servers?

Accepted Answer

No. Petedoro does not store your study data, timer history, or focus logs on external servers. All your activity metrics, contribution heatmaps, and preferences are saved strictly on your local machine.
